COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
BUILDING BETTER COMMUNITIES
As firm believers in thriving, strong, and resilient communities, Laura and Isaac Perlmutter have dedicated one of the Foundation's missions to advance this cause. By supporting local and national community organizations, the Perlmutter Foundation helps fight hunger and poverty, support communities, and other initiatives that benefit others' lives.
THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS MAGEN DAVID ADOM
Magen David Adom, Israel’s representative to the International Red Cross, is the official national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance, and blood bank service in Israel. In other words, its mission is to save lives.
The Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Foundation made a $200K donation in October 2023 to Magen David Adom towards a mobile intensive care unit ambulance and medical supplies.
THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS UNITED HATZALAH
United Hatzalah is a community-based volunteer emergency medical services (EMS) organization committed to providing the fastest response to medical emergencies across Israel, even prior to the arrival of ambulances, and completely free of charge.
The Perlmutter Foundation donated $200,000 to the organization as part of its ongoing mission to help save lives and support communities worldwide.
PALM BEACH HURRICANE RELIEF
The devastation Hurricane Ian left behind in southwest Florida affected many families and individuals' lives, as they lost their homes and possessions. Ike and Laura Perlmutter, through the Perlmutter Foundation, joined forces with other major donors to support the Town of Palm Beach United Fund for Hurricane Ian Relief, in order to provide much needed help to the residents of southwest Florida.
UKRAINE CRISIS RELIEF
As a humanitarian crisis ravages a war-torn Ukraine, Ike and Laura Perlmutter could not stand idle while the Ukrainian people continue to suffer. The Perlmutter Foundation, together with the former first daughter, Ivanka Trump, other nonprofit organizations, and Poland's First Lady deployed medicine, medical supplies, and hospital equipment to Ukraine and Poland.
COVID-19 COMMUNITY RELIEF
Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, the Perlmutter Foundation initiated significant relief efforts in New York and Palm Beach and helped the communities recover from the coronavirus' effects by contributing to hospitals, food banks, and others.
The Perlmutters have been supporting the Palm Beach community. Together with the Nelson and Claudia Peltz Family Foundation, Matt Peltz and Hallie Dunn, and the Leni and Peter May Foundation, the Perlmutter Foundation donated pallets of food weekly to the Palm Beach County Food Bank during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, they helped deliver meals to Good Samaritan and St. Mary's hospitals. The Tenet Palm Beach Health Network noted their efforts for assisting both residents and healthcare professionals alike.
